House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer is demanding that the White House physician appear before Congress to answer questions on President Biden's 'declining mental state,' while also revealing that the doctor has been involved in the Biden family's business dealings. Comer, R-Ky., sent a letter to Dr. Kevin O'Connor seeking to question his ability to provide accurate and independent reviews of the President's fitness to serve. Comer raised concerns about O'Connor's connections with the Biden family and his involvement with Americore Health, LLC.

The committee has obtained evidence showing O'Connor's ties to the company, which has been under investigation as part of an impeachment inquiry against the president. James Biden, the president's brother, received payments from Americore, including a $200,000 wire transfer labeled as a 'loan repayment' to President Biden. Testimony from Americore employees revealed that James Biden did not provide services but promised to use his political connections to secure funding for the company. Comer questioned O'Connor's role in these dealings and requested his cooperation with Congress by July 14. Calls for Biden to suspend his re-election campaign have emerged, but the White House insists the President is not considering dropping out of the 2024 race.

President Biden has not been examined by a doctor since February, despite conflicting statements from the White House. The Oversight Committee aims to clarify O'Connor's role and ensure independent assessments of the President's fitness to serve.
