Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Leaks: New Interpreter Mode Feature Revealed
Earlier today, detailed Galaxy Z Flip 6 specifications were leaked. Now, some more features of the upcoming foldable phone have been leaked, revealing a new feature that uses the cover screen intelligently during language translation. Thanks to the marketing images of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 posted by Evan Blass (@evleaks), it has been revealed that Samsung has improved the Interpreter Mode for foldable phones. In the image below, you can see that the translated text is also visible on the cover screen, making it easier to see for the person conversing with the phone's user.
A similar feature will likely be available for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 as well. Google first revealed a similar feature for the Pixel Fold, and Samsung seems to have copied it, and we won't mind as users. This feature can be really helpful for someone who is traveling to a different city or country where people speak a different language. This feature will only work in Flex Mode, though, so you have to fold the Galaxy Z Flip 6's screen halfway to activate the cover screen. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 already has the Interpreter Mode and a Z Flip 6-like 3.4-inch cover screen.
So, it is likely that Samsung will release the improved Interpreter Mode with Flex Mode optimizations to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 with the One UI 6.1.1 update. The update might be released a few weeks after the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 6. This feature might also be released to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 with a future software update. Please keep checking our website for more news related to the feature. Samsung can't stop the leaks; the '4' in IP48 is not actually the dust resistance we've been waiting for to head off potential long-term hinge damage, but rather protection against solid objects 1mm in size or greater, and it's possible Samsung simply didn't bother to claim that rating for previous foldables.
You can find every leaked spec in the galleries below, but here are the highlights we've gleaned by checking these specs against last year's Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, assuming these details pan out: We've already seen leaked colors for the phones from Blass, including an excellent ice blue Flip. Now, we just need prices, I suppose.
